This course explores how digital media can contribute to political and social change in Canada and around the world. We will focus on the power of solutions journalism. This form of storytelling connects with the audience by going beyond reporting on problems and conflicts, and explores ideas and potential solutions. With the power of all digital platforms, this form of rigorous, balanced and accurate reporting engages citizens and can influence the political agenda and spur individual action.
