Climate change is one of the most urgent and complex challenges facing today’s learners. Educators play a critical role in helping students understand these issues while fostering hope, resilience, and action.
This course prepares pre-service teachers to confidently teach and lead climate change education across subject areas. Through a combination of experiential learning, community engagement, and practical application, students will develop the knowledge, strategies, and mindset required to integrate climate education into their future classrooms.
A central focus of this course is building confidence and agency—ensuring that each participant leaves feeling prepared to teach climate change in a way that is meaningful, age-appropriate, and action-oriented.
