This course examines advanced social psychology topics, including, (i) stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination; (ii) social influence processes (conformity, compliance, obedience); (iii) the effects of groups on individuals and individuals on groups (including group polarization and groupthink); as well as social psychology research on (iv) media effects, (v) sustainability behaviour, and (vi) health, well-being, and life satisfaction. Grades in this course will be based on performance on exams, assignments, and class exercises. Attendance is mandatory.
