- short lectorials (half way between a lecture and a tutorial), to deepen your understanding of writing skills; some of these will be presented in class, and some are pre-recorded,
- assignments that will help you practice those skills, and
- workshopping on Perusall, and in person discussions of the assignment, to deepen your ability to constructively critique writing.
You’ll practice critiquing each others’ work in the course assignments, and then use the skills you’ve developed there to improve your own writing in the Final Project.
Most importantly, the critiquing we do for this course is at the heart of critical analysis, a skill that transfers across disciplines within, and outside of, the university.
