Hours:
This is Field I - which is a 250 hour Social Action Placement as per the requirements of the CASWE. Students must complete their 250 hours within the dates of the course. A passing grade cannot be assigned until this requirement along with submission of course evaluations and documentation is completed.
Students can count half a 30 minute mid-day break at lunch towards their 250 hours. Students may not count a break longer than 30 minutes and may not use this lunch break to arrive late or leave early.
If students are going to be absent from placement they MUST notify BOTH their Field Instructor and Faculty Liaison of time missed and a develop a plan to make up missed time.
Accommodation:
Individualized accommodations and support are available to reduce barriers in both the cassroom and field. Students who may requrie accommodations for their field placement are strongly encouraged to connect teh Accessibility Services to ensure appropriate supports can be explored and arranged in advance.
