Writers of early 19th century English Literature knotted together an abundance of of social, political, cultural, and aesthetic threads. Divided into three modules entitled Nature Lyric, Romances, and Social Justice, this course will tease out some of those threads which continue to preoccupy writers and artists today. In so doing we will develop students’ skills of critical thinking, close reading, and essay writing
