Session 5 Plan

Early in the session (Week 1)

  • View my Session 5 mini-lecture 
  • Listen to the brief CBC podcast interview with author Richard Wagamese
  •  Be sure to carve out some time to read Indian Horse.

Mid-session (Start of week 2):

  • Post in the whole class discussion forums under one of the pre-set discussion topics or start your own discussion thread. 

  • Reply to at least 3 comments posted in the whole class discussion. Let's have a conversation here.

  • Choose your passage for the close reading in the small group discussion forum and get to work on your wiki! 

Wednesday, October 28 by 5 pm:

  • One person from your small group should post your close reading wiki in the forum for close readings

At the end of the session (before the next session starts on Monday):

  • Evaluate (with constructive feedback) at least one other group's wiki 

  • Fill in the Session 5 row of your Participation Self-Assessment chart

  • Wrap up any discussions on the novel you were having in the discussion forums
