This course will enable you to develop the reading and writing skills required in university studies. The reading techniques that will be taught include skimming, scanning, previewing, predicting, reading critically, and in-depth analysing. The types of writing that will be practiced will include paraphrasing, summarising, and essays. Vocabulary building and grammar will also be important components of this class.
