This is the capstone course for students majoring in Journalism. The objective of the course is to continue to explore the work of journalism in open societies, and the range and possibilities of journalism in the digital age. The course will develop writing and storytelling skills that graduates will carry with them into professional newsrooms or whatever careers and further studies they pursue.
Students will use what they have learned in the development, reporting and completion of stories in the medium of their choice. At the end of the course students will have completed a professional online portfolio of work.
